Fran Forman and Eileen Powers will be doing a gallery talk on July 2nd, 6-8pm. Fran is best known for her images that are often referred to as photo-paintings. Her pieces were featured in the show Creation:The Composited Image which has been in the gallery since early May. Her work is whimsical and leaves you with a sense of wonder.

Eileen’s images showcase the head pieces made for her project, Make Hair For Me, as a way to express her journey through Lymphoma. These images give you hope and radiate positivity for dealing with something so difficult.

In other news, the next show opens on Thursday, July 11th, and is Carol Guzy’s The Question Of Why. The four time Pulitzer Prize winner explores and brings to light the injustices people suffer throughout the world in these photos. They are eye opening, captivating, and and will leave you questioning, Why? The show is up at the gallery into September so there’s plenty of time to take it all in.

Creation: The Composited Image, will open THURSDAY, MAY, 9th, 6-8 pm. Fran Forman and Ann George’s images, often referred to as Photo-Paintings, incorporate analog techniques within the digital process. Both Fran and Ann create visual narratives that are steeped in poetry, nostalgia, whimsy, and mystery. This will be the first time they have exhibited alongside each other and I’m thrilled to be able to bring these two amazing artists together.

The Gallery Page has been update with the complete MUSIC: The B Side show and a preview of our next exhibition, CREATION: The Composited Image.
